Could your lost pet be at the Guilford County Animal Shelter? HOW TO FIND YOUR PET

Guilford County Animal Shelter Events

Adoption Fairs and Pet Therapy Visits

The Guilford County Animal Shelter is in need of committed volunteers to lead adoption fairs on Saturdays and Sundays. We depend heavily on volunteers to make our events successful.

If you would like to be an attribute to the success of the Guilford County Animal Shelter, contact Dana at 336-297-5020 or use our online contact form.

Don't forget that we always need foster parents! Now that it is starting to warm up the new babies and pregnant moms are starting to pour in! The foster period can last from 2-9 weeks.

If anyone is willing to foster some of these helpless animals or for more information please speak to Allyson @ 336-297-5020 or email allyson@guilfordcountyanimalshelter.com.

All foster families must attend a foster training and agree to all foster policies. All medical care is provided by the shelter. Look below, see what a difference you can make!

Left: Foster parent Colleen, took Ellie in when she was expecting, and the next day Ellie had 9 pups to show off. Per foster mom Colleen "Seven females, 2 males an all of them adorable. She willing came with me accepted her temporary home and even made herself comfortable by making her whelping box cozy for herself and her new pups. Ellie is the most calm momma I have ever seen.  She takes such good care of her pups.  Ellie waits for me to take her out rather than use the pee pads although she does use the pee pads when she has to.  Ellie is a very compliant and willing to please dog.  She especially loves to have her ears rubbed.  She is not aggressive at all.  She seems to love small children and has ignored the barking of other dogs around her.  I really have come to like Ellie a lot and hope she goes to a good home."
