I recently read the article in Yes! Weekly about the shelter and wanted to share my thanks. I adopted my dog, Oliver, from the Guilford County Animal Shelter about a month and a half ago. I couldn’t have made a better choice! He was in excellent health when I received him and only needed one additional shot. Oliver has become such a great companion and he never fails to make my day a better one. I knew I would like having a dog at my apartment but I never expected to fall in love with him as much as I did. Even though Oliver is a lot of work, adopting him here was more than worth it. I want to thank you all for all the hard work that you do to keep animals like Oliver safe and healthy!

hi! i have always loved the dog that i have gotten from the shelter. he is a playful, fun aussie that we love and care for very much.
i am thinking about adoptinng a black kitten from you. once my dad gets a house, i am going to pick it out and care for it and all its needs. the onlly part he is going to do( my dad )is buy it and do the flea and paricite stuff.
keep some black cats left for me!

Adopted our dog from the shelter about a month ago; he is wonderful. Great in the crate, walks on leash, house trained and sweet. We love him!

All of my animals are adopted, from my dogs to my cats to my chickens! Why buy when there are so many animals out there that need loving homes!

ALL OF MY ANIMALS WERE ADOPTED FROM THE GUILFORD COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER. THEY ARE GREAT AND I WOULDN'T TRADE THEM FOR THE WORLD.
